Scope of Works- New Car Park Works

In the 2019 summer holidays we completed a project to completely transform the area at the front of the school. Firstly we stripped out the existing hedges and trees to open up the car park. We then excavated to form the formation level for the new car park as well as repairing damaged drainage. We also installed new ACO drainage channels and concrete edging kerbs. To construct the new car park we firstly installed the sub base which was MOT Type 3 (This allows the water to drain straight through into the ground), To make the car park porous above the sub-base we installed both a porous binder course and a porous surface course. 

During this project the BAT Fabrications division also installed new perimeter fencing and automated gates to the site for safeguarding.
